Willard Brothers Woodcutters

Willard Brothers Lumber is one place that I just love to visit.  We've been purchasing our Baltic Birch plywood there ever since we conceived of the Renegade telescope line.  But even before that, my interest in woodworking found me at Willard Brothers, picking out curly cherry, birdseye maple, and purple heart boards for various telescope projects.

Willard Brothers offers service above and beyond what you'll find at most small lumber operations.  They almost always have a complete selection of all thicknesses of plywood on hand.  And if they don't have it today, they have deliveries come in three times a week, so you won't wait long for anything!  The other big favor they do for me is cutting up Baltic Birch sheets.  Baltic Birch comes standard in five-foot squares.  Those big chunks don't fit in my vehicle, but Willard Brothers has always taken the time to slice up the pieces any way I like so they fit in my car, and are easier to work on my CNC router.

The exotic wood species they stock are just amazing to browse through.  If you are into woodworking in any way, this place will get you motivated to get some hardwood in the shop and get the power tools fired up!  They also have veneer and other goodies that make their shop a terrific place for a weekend visit.  They are near Princeton, NJ, a little more than an hour away from my shop.  Visit them and enjoy the wood!
